Look for connection, not matching

Pairing doesn’t mean choosing the same color or material. A softly glazed ceramic can sit beautifully against the raw, stone-like surface of hydrostone. A colorful candle can bring energy to a quiet neutral cup. A sculptural tray can ground objects with completely different forms. Sometimes the connection is color.
